Summer Science Program (SSP) is a six week summer program. It is centered around the measurements of an asteroid and calculations of its orbit, which involves knowledge from astronomy, physics, mathematics, and some computer science.
There are 2 locations, each with 36 people. Admission to SSP is quite competitive, although Lynbrook has had students participate in each of the last two years. Both juniors and sophomores who have taken calculus may apply.
More information about SSP can be found on their website.
