Science Olympiad (not to be confused with the Chemistry/Biology/Physics Olympiads) is a team contest in which each team competes in many (~23) events.
Each event usually requires 1 or 2 people, so members of teams will have to compete in multiple events. The events vary across all areas of science and engineering. Some engineering events require contraptions to be built before the contest, which are known as pre-builds. Please view the 2013 event descriptions.
Because Lynbrook only sends 2 teams, tryouts will be held to determine the teams. We are looking not only for those students who excel in the specific areas of science, but also those who are willing to put time and effort in to create incredible pre-builds.
